Associate Specialist Accounts Receivable DTC Location Carlsbad, CA (North Beach area) : Responsible for multiple areas with specific emphasis on ecommerce activity and customer refunds within the Cash Applications team. Position will have ownership direct to consumer activity, including reconciliation and troubleshooting. Responsibilities include retrieving, processing, posting and researching issues with B2C payments received daily. Ownership over the customer refund process and coordination with customer services to ensure accuracy. Must be technically inclined with an inquisitive mind and strong problem-solving skills. Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Cash Applications contact for all matters related to Direct to Consumer.
- Responsible for communicating discrepancies on ecommerce payments to consumer group.
- Addresses all business to consumer transactions on exception reports daily.
- Develops relationships and works closely with AR manager, IT and direct to consumer service group to resolve ecommerce issues.
- Develops and maintains relationship with lockbox service rep at the bank to troubleshoot and quickly resolve issues.
- Works closely with IT to communicate and resolve discrepancies within Oracles auto processes and programs.
- Verifies and solicits proper finance approvals before refunding ecommerce goodwill and trade -in credits via Cybersource or DTC Platform.
- Responsible for reconciling and researching all issues on business to consumer accounts.
- Responsible for retrieving and importing daily bank lockbox payment file for two lockboxes.
- Processes all wholesale customer refunds in Oracle in coordination with AP check run.
- Verifies proper approvals, and validates all information submitted on refund requests.
- Responsible for keeping and maintaining all documentation pertaining to wholesale customer refunds. • Apply lockbox funds accurately and complete maintenance on wholesale accounts. Contacts accounts to resolve remittance issues.
- Records and communicates payment errors for both wholesale and ecommerce business.
- Works with customer service team in communicating discrepancies on ecommerce payments.
- Validates and processes credit requests.
- Captures customer credit card payments.
- Provides customer support via incoming ACD line.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements: - Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Fluent in English; written and verbal; ability to communicate effectively
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and research methods.
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Requires knowledge of the field of assignment sufficient to perform thoroughly and accurately the full scope of responsibility as illustrated above
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications: - High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related preferred
- 2+ years' work experience in accounts receivable or similar field
- 2+ years' experience in customer facing role (customer service, collections, etc.)
Work Environment / Physical Requirements: - Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage.
- Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
- Occasional travel required to support meetings.
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

The expected base pay range for this position is $23.00 - 24.00 per hour.
