Join the Space revolution and make the impossible possible. **Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer / Systems Engineer.** This position will be located at our Space Systems Sector in Redondo Beach, CA The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Strategic Space Systems Division's Systems Engineering directorate. **_*This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future._** The selected candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to: * Perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. * Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. * Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications _*_ **_Please be aware that these positions will also be contingent upon capturing program award, obtaining customer funding, and holding final clearances prior to start date._** _*_ ​This position can be filled at either the Associate Systems Engineer or Systems Engineer Level. **Basic Qualifications for Level 1 Associate Systems Engineer:** -Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) -Candidate must have (and be able to maintain) an active, within scope, or current U.S. Government DOD Top Secret security clearance at time of application and prior to start date OR -Candidate must have active SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years at time of application and prior to start date **Basic Qualifications for Level 2 Systems Engineer:** -Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) and 2+ years of engineering experience OR -Master's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) -Candidate must have (and be able to maintain) an active, within scope, or current U.S. Government DOD Top Secret security clearance at time of application and prior to start date OR -Candidate must have active SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years at time of application and prior to start date **Preferred Qualifications:** -Master's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) -Strong communication skills -Some knowledge of Systems Engineering processes Salary Range: $74,000.00 - $134,200.00Salary Range 2: $0.00 - $0.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
