PJ's Coffee Prairieville on Airline Hwy. is looking for a FULL-TIME BARISTA!

PJ's Coffee baristas are trained to be experts in making our quality-crafted beverages and food products and explaining our menu, who we are, and why we do what we do so that our customers continue to be excited about their experience when they visit us.

We are experts in our craft and responsible for developing a positive environment for our customers and fellow team members alike, all while providing consistently fast, efficient, and world-class service to everyone. 

Baristas are responsible for PJ's Coffee's reputation and brand. They are expected to have impeccable customer service standards and excellent product knowledge, complete their required training, uphold and implement all food safety and sanitation policies, and demonstrate commitment to PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans's core values and principles. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

• Bring your smile every day and serve customers with a genuine conversation. 
• Come to work and have fun - customers love that!
• Be a coffee consultant for the brand to be able to answer customers' questions.
• Must learn and stay knowledgeable of the current menu and all seasonal items-- with the expectation to suggest additions to orders that will improve the overall experience for the customers.
• Prepare all beverages and food to meet PJ’s Coffee specifications and customer satisfaction.
• Work with the team and complete required daily tasks and duties, following all company policies and procedures.
• Attentive to all cash handling procedures
• Alert management to operational needs, equipment failure, and necessary improvements that are needed
• Enforce and abide by all company and store policies, procedures, and safety rules
• Attend training sessions designed to increase coffee knowledge and work skills, and apply that knowledge to operations.

Qualifications

• Barista experience is great, but not required! Regardless, you will be trained in the PJ’s ways of serving the best cup of coffee in town!
• Impeccable work ethic with an outgoing and engaging personality
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to communicate through different communication platforms, including email, phone, text, and company app
• Must possess resourcefulness skills in a fast-paced work environment.
• No work experience? No problem! Our robust training processes will teach you anything you need to know to succeed at PJ’s!
