We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Ocean County, New Jersey. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a vital role in overseeing financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the administrative needs of the organization. Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable and payable processes, including billing, collections, and financial performance monitoring.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records through meticulous bookkeeping practices.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate disbursement of employee payments.
- Monitor client billing activities and ensure invoices are prepared and sent promptly.
- Collaborate with partners and management to support financial and administrative decision-making.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with bank statements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within administrative and financial operations.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for review by leadership.
- Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to streamline financial management tasks.
Requirements - A minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, with a strong understanding of financial operations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to quickly learn new software tools.
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on precision and attention to detail in client and team interactions.
- Proven track record of completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP is an advantage.
- A detail-oriented mindset and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
