Position Summary

The Cell Phone Repair Technician is a key role focused on providing expert repair services and supporting long-term career growth. You'll work in our store's repair shop performing quality service and repair work for our customers. You'll also perform basic customer service as needed to help support our sales staff. People who succeed in this role excel in tech and repair, develop a strong knowledge of our products and services, and deliver quality work that makes Batteries Plus stand out.

Pay Range : Hourly Plus Incentives Pay Package ranging from $18.50 - $22.50 per hour depending on performance (3-Months Paid Training including WISE Level 1 and 2 Certifications.)

Responsibilities

• Electronics Repair : Diagnose and fix phones, tablets, and other electronics.
• Battery Installation : From gadgets to cars, you'll install batteries in various devices.
• Key Cutting & Programming : Use your skills to help customers with Car key services.
• Support Sales : Assist the sales team with your technical knowledge and expertise.
• Store Operations : Help manage inventory, recycling, and maintain a smooth operation.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Must be 18 years or older
• Available for a 5-shift, 40-hour week, including weekends
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Interest in technology and willingness to learn
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Basic math skills and comfort with technology
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year degree or relevant certification showing a growth mindset
• Customer Service experience
• Automotive or electronics repair experience is a plus
• Management or supervisory experience is a plus
• WISE Level 1 and 2 Certifications are a plus
• Experience is a plus, but passion and teamwork matter most
