Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) – OB/GYN

Location: Davenport, FL (Home Base) | Floating to Wauchula, Lakeland, Avon Park
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Status: Full-Time
Reports To: Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our Women's Health team. This role is based out of Davenport, FL, with the expectation to float to nearby clinic locations including Wauchula, Lakeland, and Avon Park. The CNM will deliver comprehensive outpatient reproductive and primary care services to women, including prenatal, postpartum, family planning, and general gynecological care.

The ideal candidate will be confident working autonomously, flexible with floating between clinic sites, and deeply committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This position qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and may include up to $75,000 in student loan repayment for a two-year service commitment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation: Up to $130,000 based on experience
  • New Grad Compensation: $90,000 starrting with a $5,000 Increase at 6 months
  • Up to $75,000 for a two-year service commitment (NHSC)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Program
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing CNM (3+ years preferred)
  • Clear and active Florida CNM license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • National certification through AMCB (American Midwifery Certification Board)
  • BLS certification
  • Eligible for malpractice insurability
  • Strong EMR and computer literacy
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient midwifery care , including prenatal, intrapartum (as appropriate), and postpartum care
  • Deliver preventive and primary care to women throughout the lifespan, including family planning and routine gynecologic care
  • Diagnose and manage common women’s health conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans; prescribe medications within scope of practice
  • Educate and counsel patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Coordinate patient care with referral clerks, nurses, and other providers
  • Maintain timely and complete documentation in the EMR (SOAP notes, problem lists, medication reconciliation)
  • Adhere to clinical protocols, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Precept students and contribute to staff development as needed
  • Rotate coverage to other sites and participate in Saturday/off-hour clinics when assigned
