About the Role
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to producing defect-free work.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers (3-5 axis)
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders
Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Meet production quotas while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications & Skills
2+ years experience operating CNC machines (mills and/or lathes)
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
Basic understanding of G-code and CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, or similar)
Experience with tool offsets, fixture setups, and machine adjustments
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Nice-to-Have (Not Required)
CNC programming experience
Experience with Swiss-style machines
Certification from technical/trade school
