Job Description

Asheville Carpentry

Construction Estimator

Location: Asheville, NC

Asheville Carpentry is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our growing team. This is not a sales role; thanks to strong inbound demand, you'll focus on meeting with clients, assessing project needs, and preparing accurate, timely estimates.

We're looking for someone with strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills who can represent our company with professionalism and warmth. If you enjoy working directly with clients, turning around accurate proposals quickly, and using your expertise to guide homeowners through the remodeling process, this could be the perfect role for you.

Core Values We Live By

At Asheville Carpentry, our Core Values shape every project and every client interaction:

  • We Serve - Above & Beyond: Delivering exceptional service for clients, team, and community.
  • Do What's Right, Even When It's Hard: Integrity and accuracy matter in every estimate.
  • Work Hard, Play Hard: We put in the effort, but we also value balance and recharging.
  • Be a Team Player: Communication and collaboration are the backbone of our success.
  • Choose Growth: We embrace opportunities to improve, both as individuals and as a company.

As an Estimator , you'll live out these values daily, providing clients with clarity, confidence, and trust in the process.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits with clients to assess project needs
  • Create accurate estimates and professional proposals
  • Timely turnaround of estimates, often same-day.
  • Use technical expertise to answer client questions
  • Collaborate with project managers and crews to ensure estimates align with real-world execution
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with clients throughout the estimating process

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably in high-end residential remodeling
  • Strong technical knowledge of construction processes and materials
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and deliver timely, accurate results
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to integrity in every proposal
  • Professional demeanor with client-facing experience

Compensation & Perks

  • Schedule: Full-time, exempt role, Monday-Friday
  • Salary of $55,000 to $65,000 annually (based on experience)
  • Opportunities to advance as the company continues to expand
  • Work with a team that values accuracy, professionalism, and teamwork

Why Work With Us

At Asheville Carpentry , we believe in building trust as much as we build projects. As an Estimator , you'll play a vital role in shaping that trust by ensuring every client receives clear, accurate, and professional estimates. You'll be supported by a strong inbound client pipeline, a collaborative team, and a company culture rooted in service, integrity, and growth. Apply today and help us deliver excellence, one estimate at a time
