Job Title: Cyber Security EngineerJob Description Responsible for all cyber security related tasks on the product and infrastructure side. This role involves enhancing current security measures and integrating new features as the company scales and adapts to evolving threats. The engineer will work closely with IT and product teams to implement security solutions and automate processes. Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR technologies and scripting is essential. Responsibilities + Enhance existing cyber security measures on product and infrastructure sides. + Collaborate with IT and product teams to integrate new security features. + Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends and industry standards. + Automate security processes using scripting languages. + Set up and configure SIEM/SOAR systems. + Implement operational security policies and solutions. + Lead the setup or significant enhancement of a Security Operations Center (SOC). + Manage end-to-end protection including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection. + Respond to and manage cyber events and incidents. Essential Skills + At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity related to both product and digital infrastructure. + Background in engineering or manufacturing. + Strong experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection. + Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel. + Proficient in AWS, Azure, or GCP. + Experience with identity and access management. + Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell. + Experience with OWASP standards and Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE). Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (CS) or Information Systems (IS) strongly preferred. + Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ are advantageous. + Experience with ITAR/Export Control compliance. Work Environment Initially, the position will be on-site with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid remote arrangement over time. The role offers an exciting opportunity to become the main cyber security expert in the company, allowing for significant influence on new security initiatives. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42.07 - $81.63/hr.
