Job Description

This is a remote position.

Austell Gas System is seeking a meticulous and highly organized Data Entry Clerk to join our growing administrative support team. This remote position is designed for individuals who excel in precision, consistency, and accountability while managing large volumes of data. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry from various sources into internal systems and remote databases.

  • Manage, verify, and reconcile information to ensure data consistency across both on-site and remote operations.

  • Maintain and organize digital records, ensuring secure remote access and compliance with data protection standards.

  • Coordinate with other remote departments and field personnel to verify service information, work orders, and customer accounts.

  • Generate reports and summaries from data entries to support remote management teams in decision-making.

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all records input through the remote workflow system.

  • Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements for more effective remote data handling.

  • Support team initiatives and contribute to Austell Gas’s mission of providing safe, reliable, and efficient service—even in a fully remote capacity.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in business, accounting, or data management preferred.

  • Previous experience as a Data Entry Clerk, Administrative Assistant, or related remote role preferred.

  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Excel, Word, and remote collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Zoom.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality in a remote work environment.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently in a remote setting.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across remote departments.
