DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS/DIRECT CARE WORKERS/PARAPROFESSIONALS NEEDED! Placement will be throughout various Nassau County areas. Great Opportunity from ATC Healthcare! ATC Healthcare is currently hiring experienced, compassionate and capable individuals to work as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) or paraprofessionals providing support to students in school settings. AMAP and SCIP certified are preferred; client will train new staff on these valuable skills on-site! Great opportunity for additional certifications! We are seeking dedicated and reliable candidates who are interested in part-time, full-time hours for these school-hour positions; we also have needs for per diem shifts! Available SHIFTS would be school hours, 8am to 3pm or similar. Benefits:

DSP Responsibilities:

• Assisting and providing support for students in classroom setting or other school day needs
• Helping plan and organize a schedule while implementing all formal goals and protocols
• Organizing with transportation arrangements to appointments, social and recreational activities, and other destinations as required
• Assisting with meals and free time activities
• Encouraging client engagement in social networks and communities
• Collect data such as goals, outings, and progress notes.
• Obtain certification for medication administration (AMAP)
• Complete all required training and attend staff meetings.
• Complete incident reports as necessary

DSP Qualifications:

• AMAP and SCIP certified are preferred.
• 6 months or more of caregiving experience
• COVID-19 Vaccination Required
• Experience with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
