Job Description

Our company is seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Driver Helper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our drivers in their daily routes, ensuring that all operations adhere to OSHA requirements, local, state, and federal laws. You will be a crucial part of our team, helping to ensure that our services are delivered efficiently and safely. Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
• Report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Route Supervisor or Dispatch immediately.
• Participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by the Route Supervisor.
• Load and empty residential and/or commercial containers into a truck, either manually or mechanically.
• Operate hoisting device to lift and empty bins or containers into truck hopper.
• Assist driver with all backing maneuvers while on route.
• Notify Route Supervisor of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicate any service interruptions or potential safety hazards to Route Supervisor or Dispatch.
• Convey customer requests to Dispatch or Route Supervisor.
• Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Supervisor or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to report and convey information effectively.
• Physical strength and stamina to load and empty containers.
• Ability to operate mechanical devices.
• Willingness to participate in training programs and meetings.
