Job Description

Now Hiring EDM Machinists!

• Produce parts to specification; verify parts meet extremely close tolerance dimensions, alignments, and specifications
• Analyze blueprints and engineering drawings to determine part dimensions and cut configurations
• Determine type/size of cutting tool according to metal stock on machine fixture
• Observe machining of first parts to verify programming accuracy
• Utilize micrometers, calipers, gauges and inspect work against prints or model
• Continuously look for innovative ways to improve processes, reduce waste, increase throughput, and improve efficiencies
• Work with Manufacturing Engineer to load new programs and set up the machinery to produce highly-precise short-run orders in Wire and sinker EDM equipment
• Line up and train machine operators to produce and measure production, where appropriate

Professional Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience setting up and operating a Wire EDM machine experience
• Ability to read and interpret complex routers and other required documents
• A candidate must have a desire to continually learn and develop technical skills
• Physical Requirements and Working Condition:
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, and ladders
• Must be able to work at heights utilizing fall protection equipment (man lifts, ladders, and stand)
• Must be able to lift up to 45lbs
• Subject to environmental conditions -protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
• Subject to hazards to include a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals
• Subject to loud constant noise
• Subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
