Job Description

Coffman Engineers’ Honolulu office is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer with 0-5 years of experience. The successful individual should be comfortable consulting to architectural practices and have a desire to work on a multi-discipline engineering team.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 0-5 years of experience with electrical design
• Strong passion or previous experience in the AEC (architectural, engineering and construction) industry
• Power, lighting, communications design, and layouts utilizing Revit and/or AutoCAD knowledge preferred
• Awareness of or experience with load calculations, branch circuiting, voltage drop, short circuit calculations and photometric calculations preferred
• Exposure to power system analysis software such as SKM, etap, etc. is a plus
• Report daily project status updates to senior engineer or project manager
• Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight
• Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams
• Ability to research applicable codes in National Electrical Code, International Building Code, etc.
• Registration as an E.I.T. is preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Expected annual salary of $68,000 - $82,000.
