Engineering Manager | Holt, MI

Salary Range: $118,000 - $167,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of engineering projects, from design to implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures within manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and R&D teams to resolve technical issues and support new product introduction.
• Manage the engineering department budget, resources, and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies to support manufacturing capabilities and future growth.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong technical background in manufacturing engineering or a related discipline, with direct experience in production environments.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams to achieve project goals.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from conception to successful delivery within a manufacturing setting.
• Expertise in applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, quality systems, and relevant industry standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., automation, IoT, AI/ML)
• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, M.S. in Engineering Management)
