At Ozinga, we're looking for an Environmental Engineer who wants to apply their knowledge to meaningful work.

In this role, you'll help ensure our operations follow environmental regulations-and look for ways to go beyond compliance. You'll work across our sites, develop plans, test materials, and collaborate with teams to create safe, responsible solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and submit permit applications to federal, state, and local agencies.
• Identify and address environmental risks to air, soil, and stormwater.
• Develop and distribute pollution prevention plans.
• Review how materials are handled and prepare hazard reports.
• Collect and analyze stormwater and soil samples.
• Communicate with government agencies about environmental requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement policies that support safe and productive operations.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred).

What Experience You'll Need:

• 1-5 years of experience in environmental compliance or engineering.
• Experience with air and stormwater permitting processes.
• Familiarity with calculating air emissions using standard tools (e.g., AP-42, FIREdata).
• Understanding of stormwater detention, retention, and treatment systems.
• Knowledge of reporting requirements under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).
