We are currently hiring an Environmental Intern in our Due Diligence, Investigation, and Remediation (DDI&R) Group within the Environmental Division of our Rochester, NY office.
The DDI&R team covers everything from Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) to Brownfield Remediation projects. Responsibilities may include data management, assisting with technical reporting, drafting figures, shadowing field work, and work directly with a mentor. LaBella’s internship program is designed for your personal growth and experienced staff guiding and coaching you just as they would if you joined us on a permanent basis.
Duties
Assist our team of scientists, engineers, and geologists in the field with environmental sample collection and monitoring (soil, water, and air)
Some travel to job sites required (within 1-hour of Rochester)
Assist with the preparation of environmental reports, including Phase I & II ESAs
Assist with data management and processing using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Various office tasks to support management with preparing deliverables to clients
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology
Driver’s License and reliable vehicle to be able to travel to local job sites (within 1 hour of Rochester, NY) – Mileage is reimbursed at the standard IRS rate
Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Experience with GIS and/or CAD is a plus
Internship experience is a plus
40-hour HAZWOPER/OSHA is a plus
Ability to work well with a team and good analytical skills
