We are currently hiring an Environmental Intern in our Due Diligence, Investigation, and Remediation (DDI&R) Group within the Environmental Division of our Rochester, NY office.
The DDI&R team covers everything from Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) to Brownfield Remediation projects. Responsibilities may include data management, assisting with technical reporting, drafting figures, shadowing field work, and work directly with a mentor. Duties
Assist our team of scientists, engineers, and geologists in the field with environmental sample collection and monitoring (soil, water, and air)
Some travel to job sites required (within 1-hour of Rochester)
Assist with the preparation of environmental reports, including Phase I & II ESAs
Assist with data management and processing using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Various office tasks to support management with preparing deliverables to clients
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology
Driver’s License and reliable vehicle to be able to travel to local job sites (within 1 hour of Rochester, NY) – Mileage is reimbursed at the standard IRS rate
Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Experience with GIS and/or CAD is a plus
Internship experience is a plus
40-hour HAZWOPER/OSHA is a plus
Ability to work well with a team and good analytical skills
