Compensation:Â $70,000â$90,000 base salary + bonus; potential for higher compensation based on experienceÂ

About The Job: Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by a well-respected construction contractor to recruit for an Estimator specializing in metal framing, drywall, and insulation projects. This is a full-time role where youâll play a key part in preparing competitive, accurate bids that drive project success.
As an Estimator, youâll work closely with leadership and team members, using advanced estimating software to review plans, analyze details, and develop precise proposals. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed estimates for metal framing, drywall, and insulation projects.
- Review construction plans and perform computer-based takeoffs using OST and Quick Bid.
- Analyze incomplete or unclear plans, identify missing details, and ensure all contingencies are accounted for in bids.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to clarify project requirements and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a proactive approach to potential challenges, helping the team create bids that are both competitive and realistic.
Qualifications: - Experience in construction estimating preferred, ideally with metal framing and drywall.
- Proficiency with computer-based estimating software preferred (OST, Quick Bid)
- Strong attention to detail with sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Background in construction management, engineering, or field experience combined with strong computer skills.
- Receptive, willing to ask questions, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
