Federal Account Manager (MSP Staffing Background Experience) Location Remote :

We are seeking a purposeful and client-focused Federal Account Manager with a strong background in US staffing , particularly within the federal sector , and proven experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Vendor Management Systems (VMS) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing key federal client accounts, building long-term relationships, ensuring successful delivery of staffing solutions, and driving revenue growth through strategic account management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned federal accounts, managing all aspects of client relationships and service delivery.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to meet and exceed client expectations, business objectives, and revenue goals.
  • Leverage existing relationships and cultivate new connections within federal agencies, government contractors, and MSPs.
  • Work closely with internal recruiting teams to fulfil client requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Utilize and manage client-specific VMS platforms to submit candidates, track performance metrics, and report on account activity.
  • Ensure compliance with federal contracting requirements, labor laws, and security clearances where applicable.
  • Identify opportunities for account expansion, including new roles, departments, or task orders within existing clients.
  • Collaborate with MSP program managers and client stakeholders to resolve issues and continuously improve service delivery.
  • Monitor and analyze account performance metrics (fill rate, time-to-submit, quality of hire) and provide regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings, QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), and other strategic discussions.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in account management or client services within the US staffing industry , specifically serving federal clients .
  • Proven experience working with MSP programs and VMS platforms (e.g., Fieldglass, Beeline, IQNavigator, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, contracting vehicles, and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts and staffing requisitions simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience collaborating with cleared candidates (Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with government agencies such as DHS, DoD, VA, or similar.
  • Familiarity with IT, engineering, or healthcare staffing in the federal space.
  • Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and contract types (T&M, FFP, IDIQs, GWACs).
