Step into a day on our packaging floor

From the moment you clock in, you’re focused on safety, precision, and quality. You review the production plan, confirm recipe specs, and prep ingredients. You calibrate digital scales, verify lot numbers, and stage bins so First-In/First-Out (FIFO) is maintained. As dough mixing begins, you run the mixer using the time-and-batch recipe system, troubleshoot within recipe parameters, and keep upstream and downstream equipment moving to avoid bottlenecks. Throughout the shift, you clean as you go, document accurately, and uphold strict Food Safety, GMP, allergen control, HACCP, food defense, and SQF standards. You wrap up by cleaning mixers and work areas to prepare for the next run or changeover.

What you’ll do

• Work safely at all times and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Understand and apply Food Safety policies; attend required training sessions.
• Read and execute recipes with precision; mix doughs per specification using the mixer and batch-time system.
• Use digital scales and relevant scale functions accurately.
• Troubleshoot process issues within the boundaries of the recipe.
• Maintain FIFO, record mix lot numbers, and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Clean and refill ingredient bins; label each bin with the correct lot number.
• Monitor and assist upstream and downstream equipment to ensure continuous operation.
• Clean mixers and work areas during and after runs or changeovers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Observe GMP and allergen procedures; immediately report any food safety or quality concerns to your supervisor.
• Follow supervisor directives and support the shift team across departments as needed, including weekends and holidays.

What you bring

• Prior experience in packaging or food and beverage manufacturing (required).
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.
• Understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies.
• Solid mathematical skills for measurements, scaling, and documentation.
• Comfort working a flexible schedule and assisting other departments when needed.

Physical demands

• Stand for the full shift; climb steps and ladders.
• Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Tools and technologies

• Packaging machines and related equipment.
• Digital scales and batch/mixing systems.
