Assistant Grain Farm Manager / Farm Equipment Operator position available on 10,000 acre farm in Northwest Kansas. Primarily dryland wheat, corn, and grain sorghum with one central pivot. Will supervise 1-2 other employees and setup the newest John Deere technologies including; GPS, yield monitoring, field mapping, sprayer and fertilizer application. Will also work with agronomic consultants and implement their recommendation. Applicant must be self-motivated person with the ability to think and work independently. MUST have experience operating and maintaining modern farm equipment including: semi-trucks, sprayers, planters, combines and drills. Welding experience a plus. Must have a Class A CDL and a private applicators License. The operation runs 300 to 400 head of steers that are out on grass from March to August so some basic knowledge of cattle is preferred but not required. Salary based on experience. Housing available in the area.
