Job Description

Position Summary:
The Grounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of outdoor grounds and landscaped areas. This includes mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting flowers, applying pesticides, and performing seasonal upkeep. The technician also assists in minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor fixtures and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Mow, edge, trim, fertilize, and water lawns and landscaped areas.
• Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems.
• Remove weeds, debris, litter, and snow as needed.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
• Inspect grounds daily for potential hazards and correct or report them.
• Repair and maintain outdoor furniture, fencing, and fixtures.
• Assist in setting up for outdoor events or seasonal displays.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and tools.
• Follow safety standards and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain records of work performed and report to supervisor regularly.

Qualifications:

• Required:

* Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and perform physical labor.
• Knowledge of safe operation of landscaping tools and equipment.

• Preferred:

• 1+ year of experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance.
• Basic mechanical skills to maintain landscaping equipment.

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday and every other Saturday & holiday work during peak seasons or special events.
