Key Responsibilities:

• Champion a culture of workplace safety and regulatory compliance (MSHA, federal, state, and local)
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health & safety programs and procedures
• Conduct underground and surface site inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Lead or assist in MSHA inspections and site visits
• Deliver engaging safety training, education, and onboarding
• Schedule and manage required annual physicals and hearing tests
• Maintain accurate documentation of safety audits, inspections, incidents, and training
• Support weekly/monthly H&S reporting and data tracking
• Collaborate across departments to embed a proactive safety culture

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with MSHA safety regulations and workplace compliance
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in computer-based reporting, communication, and recordkeeping
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
