Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a growing dermatopathology laboratory near Buffalo, NY, to recruit an additional Full-Time Histotechnician . This 2-year-old lab is experiencing increased specimen volume—averaging around 60 samples per day—and is seeking a third Histotech to support workload balance and maintain high-quality turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties
Same-day specimen receiving and grossing (skin specimens)
Process, embed, cut, and stain tissue samples following standard protocols
Maintain quality control standards in all phases of histology work
Secondary Duties
General laboratory maintenance and equipment upkeep
Assist team members as needed to ensure smooth workflo
Schedule
Full-time | Monday–Friday | 11 AM–7 PM
Fridays are typically lighter and may allow for early departure, though volume varies
No on-call, weekends, or holidays required
Required Qualifications
NYS Clinical Laboratory License (HT or HTL) — Required
ASCP HT or HTL certification — Accepted
Skin grossing experience — Strongly preferred
Understanding of skin embedding practices; training available for strong candidates
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $30–$35/hr
