We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to prepare, paint, and finish a wide range of metal and industrial surfaces in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience with various industrial painting techniques, including spray, brush, and roll methods, and will ensure surfaces are coated to precise specifications for appearance, protection, and durability.
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, or applying primers
Mix and apply paints, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and other coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, or work orders to determine painting specifications
Set up and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns, booths, and compressors
Inspect painted surfaces for uniformity and coverage, and perform touch-ups or corrections as needed
Follow safety procedures for handling chemicals, solvents, and flammable materials
Maintain clean and organized work area, paint booths, and equipment
Track paint and material usage and report any inventory or equipment needs
Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure finished products meet standards
Wear required PPE (respirators, coveralls, gloves, goggles, etc.) and adhere to OSHA regulations and company policies
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as an industrial painter or in a similar role
Familiarity with airless and conventional spray equipment, HVLP systems, and electrostatic spraying
Ability to read and follow technical documents, safety guidelines, and product data sheets
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing, lifting, and working in confined spaces
Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work overtime or different shifts as required
