We are actively hiring a Korean Linguist to join our team working in Reston, VA. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• The linguist will provide translation, transcription and interpretation from source language to English and vice versa. 
• The linguist will conduct supplementary research from foreign language sources on equipment and technologies identified.
• The linguist will translate selected technical documents upon request.
• Work will be performed during ordinary hours (e.g., 8-5) in an ordinary work week (Monday-Friday).
• This position requires 10% travel.

• TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree desired in Translation or Interpretation
• Translation/Transcription and Interpretation into English
• Collection from published, online and broadcast media
• Editing
• Monitoring published, online and broadcast media while identifying relevant content
• Selection 
• Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
• Triage
• Translation Related Services
• Workflow

• Desired Professional Association Memberships: ATA, AIIC, TAALS, NAJIT, IAPTI, NCIHC, Etc.
• CAT Tools (Lilt, MS Suite, etc.)
• Consecutive note taking, and public speaking experience
• HLT
• Quality Control of language products
• Writing Analysis
• Writing reports
• Subject Matter Expertise in Counterproliferation, Counterterrorism, Cyber, Military, Science and Technology and Social Media areas of focus
