Job Description

Accentuate Staffing is partnering with a growing food manufacturer in the Middlesex, NC area that’s looking to add a Food Safety & Quality Lab Technician to their team.  This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with a 2nd shift schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00pm–3:30am. We’re seeking candidates who have experience supporting food safety and quality control efforts in a production setting.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine product evaluations and assist with lab testing to ensure product consistency and compliance
• Support raw material checks and perform inspections during various stages of production
• Assist with blending and measuring ingredients as needed for production batches
• Track and document test results and quality findings in a timely and accurate manner
• Communicate with production teams to report any deviations or quality issues
• Help maintain sanitation standards within the quality lab and production floor
• Play an active role in upholding company food safety policies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory procedures throughout the facility

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of quality assurance or lab experience in a food or manufacturing environment
• Understanding of food safety practices including GMPs and HACCP
• Detail-oriented with good communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for most of the shift
• High school diploma or equivalent
