POSITION DESCRIPTION
DBL Law is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney. This position will perform associate level general litigation work and will work on cases which include defending employment-related claims as well as commercial disputes. The position is based in our Louisville, Kentucky office.

JOB DUTIES
•            Draft and prepare legal briefs and pleadings.
•            Work with clients in the preparation of discovery responses.
•            Prepare and argue motions.
•            Perform legal research and writing.
•            Participate in depositions.
•            Prepare trial materials and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
•            Multi-task, meet deadlines, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
•            Independently manage cases.
•            Handle various aspects of litigation, such as motion hearings, mediations, and depositions.
•            Respond to administrative charges.
•            Collaborate with partners and other associates to develop and implement case strategy.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
•            3-4 Years of relevant experience.
•            Civil Litigation experience strongly preferred.
•            Excellent drafting, writing, and analytical skills.
•            Strong attention to detail.
•            Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
•            Strong organizational skills.
•            Ability to manage multiple projects.
•            Outstanding academic record.
•            Must be licensed to practice law in Kentucky. License to practice in Indiana preferred but not required.
