Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Neurology

Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (6p–6a), 7 on/7 off or alternating 4/3 schedule

End Date: February/March 2026
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adults (100%), Stroke and Trauma (40%)
Setting: Hospital-Based, Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center
Responsibilities: Overnight coverage of 16-bed Neuro ICU and neurosurgical consults; backup from 2 off-site neuro intensivists by phone
Required Procedures: Stroke management, neurocritical care
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: 3 Advanced Practice Providers in group, lab and imaging onsite
Days Per Month: Based on schedule
On-Call/Weekends: No call; weekend shifts part of rotation
Submission Requirements:
Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician Assistant – REQUIRED
Active Ohio PA license (or willing to obtain) – REQUIRED
BLS, ACLS – REQUIRED
ENLS – Highly preferred
Experience in neuro ICU and managing trauma/stroke patients – REQUIRED
Must be able to work independently covering neuro ICU and neurosurgical consults at night – REQUIRED
