Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Pay Rate: $38.00-45.00/hour Location: Windsor Locks, CT 06096 Area Code: 860 Shifts: 1st Employment Type: Direct, W2 / Benefits #ManufacturingEngineering #gd&t #AerospaceJobs Job Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support the production of aerospace components and assemblies, including heat exchangers. This role provides daily engineering support for welding, brazing, machining, and tooling processes. It also contributes to fixture review, documentation updates, and process validation efforts in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of aerospace manufacturing experience, practical knowledge of metal component assembly, and the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve floor-level issues and drive process improvements. Responsibilities:

• Support the industrialization of legacy aerospace parts being reintroduced to production
• Review and redline operational documentation and fixture designs to ensure manufacturability
• Assist with the development and certification of stack/braze, fab/weld, and machining operations
• Create or revise manufacturing instructions and Op Sheets within Solumina (or similar systems)
• Provide floor-level engineering support for machining, welding, brazing, and tooling issues
• Contribute to 5-axis milling program updates for existing processes
• Attend daily tier meetings and maintain alignment with engineering and production teams

Core Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within aerospace high-precision metal fabrication
• Working knowledge of NX for basic modeling, drafting, and some CAM programming
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes including assembly, machining, welding, and brazing
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T standards
• Experience with tooling concepts and fixture evaluation
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to shop floor troubleshooting
• Proven ability to contribute to process improvements and production readiness

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience working with aluminum parts and brazing operations
• Knowledge of Solumina MES or other digital work instruction platforms
• Familiarity with aerospace quality and configuration control standards
