Job Description

A New Product Development (NPD) Engineer designs and develops new products from initial concept to launch, working closely with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include designing new products, testing prototypes, evaluating production costs, and ensuring products meet industry standards. They also analyze existing products, create technical drawings, and document the entire development process.

Responsibilities
  • Product Design and Development:

    Conceptualize and design new products or improvements to existing ones. 

  • Prototype Testing and Analysis:

    Build and test prototypes, analyzing functionality and identifying areas for improvement. 

  • Cost and Feasibility Analysis:

    Evaluate production costs and conduct feasibility studies to ensure product viability. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Work closely with marketing, production, quality assurance, and other teams to ensure product meets customer needs and company objectives. 

  • Technical Drawings and Specifications:

    Create technical drawings using CAD software and outline product specifications. 

  • Documentation:

    Document the entire development and design process, including product specifications and testing results. 

  • Compliance and Standards:

    Ensure products comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements. 

  • Continuous Improvement:

    Identify areas for improvement in existing products and processes based on customer feedback and market trends. 

Requirements
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Accept a drug test to be performed
Proficient experience in 3D CAD
Minimum Bachelors Degree -Engineering
Minimum 2-3 Years of Experience
Knowledge in: 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks)
