A well-established and growing food distribution company in Oakland, CA is seeking a Working Warehouse Swing/Night Shift Lead. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, supporting warehouse operations while supervising and motivating staff in a cold storage environment.

?? Key Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations (Sunday–Thursday)

• Inventory control, planning, and resource allocation (labor, time, materials)

• Inventory management (FIFO, cycle counts, box counting)

• Regular work in cooler and freezer environments

• Order selecting using scanners

• Load and unload trailers

• Operate stand-up forklift and electric pallet jacks

• Train, manage, and motivate warehouse staff

• Maintain equipment maintenance records

• Meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Draft professional emails and company documents

• Assist with procedures and disciplinary documentation

• Communicate professionally (verbal & electronic)

? Qualifications

• 5+ years warehouse operations experience(required)

• Food industry experience (preferred)

• Prior supervisory experience (preferred)

• Cold storage experience (preferred)

• Forklift certified (stand-up + electric rider pallet jack)

• Strong leadership and training ability

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

• Strong math skills (accurate box counting)

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Self-starter, quick learner, motivate
