Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role focuses on supporting attorneys in family law and civil litigation cases, ensuring thorough preparation and organization for legal proceedings. Responsibilities: - Conduct in-depth legal research and gather case-relevant information. - Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials. - Organize, review, and manage legal documents and evidence, including eDiscovery. - Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other court-related filings. - Coordinate and handle court filings, including service of process. - Summarize deposition transcripts, interrogatories, and witness statements. - Create and maintain trial binders and detailed exhibit lists. - Monitor case deadlines and maintain organized calendars. - Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and experts for scheduling and case updates. - Provide logistical and document management support during trial proceedings. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in family law or civil litigation. - Proficiency in legal research and writing with attention to detail. - Experience with case management software and e-filing systems. - Strong organizational skills to manage complex cases and deadlines. - Familiarity with discovery processes and trial preparation. - Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions. - Ability to summarize depositions and other legal documents concisely. - Knowledge of legal procedures and court systems.
