See how Dragonfly Health is transforming the world of hospice and post-acute care. What You Will Do - Administer and process multi-cycle payroll with precision, timeliness, and strict adherence to federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
- Manage the full payroll lifecycle: employee/vendor setup, garnishments, benefits deductions, PTO accruals, and on-call pay.
- Act as a key partner to Finance and HR, ensuring tight coordination across payroll, accounting, and people operations.
- Own critical processes including month-end close, payroll reconciliations, accrual tracking, and year-end reporting (including 401(k) compliance).
- Mentor and train payroll team members, offering support and guidance on complex issues and encouraging continuous improvement.
- Serve as the go-to resource for internal payroll inquiries, working closely with employees, branch locations, and leadership.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits, tax filings, and compliance tracking.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements and internal controls that elevate the accuracy, speed, and reliability of payroll operations
What We Look For - Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, Business Administration, or related field; at least 3 years of experience in a payroll role.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of payroll systems (UKG preferred), tax law, and wage and hour regulations.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas), and skilled in payroll platforms and vendor systems.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and professionally to employees and leadership.
- Problem Solving: Resourceful, solutions-oriented thinker who can resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure accuracy under tight timelines.
- Leadership: Experience mentoring or training others; someone who elevates the team through collaboration and support.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a high-growth, fast-moving environment where priorities shift and high standards remain constant
