Position Overview: As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating residents to help them achieve long-term health benefits and improve their overall mobility and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: * Evaluate residents' conditions and develop individualized physical rehabilitation plans. * Help residents improve mobility and functional independence. * Relieve pain using exercises, hands-on therapy, stretching, and physical therapy devices. * Assist residents in using physical therapy equipment effectively. * Guide residents through therapy tasks, monitoring their performance and progress. * Inform residents about what they should expect at different stages of their recovery. * Supervise physical therapy assistants when required. * Maintain a safe and clean working environment. * Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols. * Contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts to ensure comprehensive resident care. Qualifications: * Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program. * Current New York State PT License. * Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care settings preferred.
