Position Description: Portable Aggregate Crushing Plant - Plant Control Operator

Location: Franklin, KY and Travelling

Job Summary: The Aggregate Crushing Plant Control Room Operator is responsible for overseeing the operation of the portable aggregate crushing plant. This role includes monitoring and controlling plant operations from the control room, performing maintenance, lubrication, and clean-up tasks. The ideal candidate must be physically fit, possess strong mechanical aptitude, and have excellent record-keeping skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control Room Operations:
    • Monitor and control the crushing plant operations from the control room.
    • Ensure optimal performance and efficiency of the plant.
    • Adjust settings and parameters to maintain desired output levels.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Maintenance and Lubrication:
    • Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment.
    • Lubricate machinery and components as required.
    • Inspect and replace worn or damaged parts.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Clean-Up Tasks:
    • Conduct regular inspections and clean-up of the plant area.
    • Ensure all equipment and workspaces are free from debris and hazards.
    • Follow safety protocols and guidelines during clean-up activities.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of plant operations.
    • Document maintenance and lubrication activities.
    • Track inventory and order supplies as needed.
    • Prepare reports on plant performance and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Record Keeping Skills: Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a control room and outdoors in all-weather environments.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
