Quality Analytical Chemist

Position Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Eastern) Reports To: Director of Quality

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Analytical Chemist to join our Quality team. This role is ideal for a scientist who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced lab environment and is passionate about ensuring product quality and innovation. You'll play a vital role in developing methods, maintaining instrumentation, and driving process improvements that directly impact product performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
• Coordinate equipment servicing and repairs with vendors
• Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods to ensure accurate and reliable test results
• Support method transfers and provide technical guidance during process development
• Investigate and troubleshoot quality deviations, out-of-spec results, and product issues
• Maintain detailed and organized documentation, including lab notebooks, reports, and data logs
• Prepare, review, and revise SOPs and analytical protocols as needed
• Train lab personnel on analytical techniques, instrumentation, and safety practices
• Conduct stability testing and recommend appropriate product storage conditions
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines, including hazardous material handling
• Collaborate with external labs and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and uphold standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the Quality department

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in analytical chemistry or product claims testing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly present findings and collaborate cross-functionally
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Chempax, eChempax, and instrument-specific software
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds as needed
