Job Summary The Sales Representative for Wine products, will sell and provide guidance about products needed by grocers, restaurants, bars, clubs etc. This position requires a self-motivator who works well on their own. This position plays a key role in the growth of our wholesale business. Selling and proven selling skills is a must. CRM experience preferred but not needed. This position will require a large territory to be covered, and travel will be required. The Territory is San Diego County and Orange County.
Supervisory Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To - Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients in a wine distribution field.
- Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
- Develops and implements strategies for sales in San Diego and Orange County.
- Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
- Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
- Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
- Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements.
- Collaborates with route departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
- Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Merchandises holiday décor is existing accounts.
Required Skills/Abilities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Thorough understanding of technical or scientific products to be sold.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient in using a CRM.
Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods of driving.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times (wine cases).
- Travel to meet with clients.
- Pour wine/tastings.
Compensation: $69,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
