Data Connects Us. **About the Role:** This role plays a key leadership role in Confluent's P&L forecasting process. Reporting to the Director, this role is critical in ensuring financial accuracy in P&L forecasting, as well as providing strategic insights to finance leaders. The role will be involved in updating and building out a forecasting model based on complex datasets on a monthly basis and synthesizing P&L trends for quarterly executive and board meetings. This is a highly visible role that requires cross-functional coordination across Investor Relations, Revenue FP&A, Accounting, and Operations. **What You Will Do:** + Proactively manage P&L forecasts by analyzing variances, surfacing insights, and communicating key risks, opportunities, and business drivers. + Present regularly to key finance leaders at Confluent including CFO, SVP of Finance and VP of Corporate FP&A. + Refine and maintain driver-based financial models to understand historical and projected spend and profitability. + Build strong relationships cross-functionally to continuously drive forecast accuracy, improve processes and automation, and establish rigor in measuring the business. + Deliver quantitative and qualitative analyses with high precision and efficiency. **What You Will Bring:** + BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. + 3+ years of experience of Finance at a SaaS company, Investment Banking, Private Equity or related field. + Highly proficient in financial analysis and model building. + Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets/Slides. **What Gives You an Edge:** + Demonstrated success in fast-paced work environments + Ability to think strategically about key drivers of profitability + Hands-on experience with Business Planning tools (e.g., Anaplan) **Come As You Are** At Confluent, equality is a core tenet of our culture. This position has an annual estimated salary of $122,200- $159,500 and a competitive equity package. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.
