At EX Squared LATAM, we're seeking a Backend Developer who thrives on building robust and scalable backend systems. This role is ideal for a highly skilled Java developer with deep experience in designing APIs, optimizing database interactions, and ensuring high code quality and application performance.

Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot .
Develop and optimize RESTful APIs to support enterprise-grade applications.
Contribute to Oracle database design and performance, including writing efficient PL/SQL queries.
Apply software engineering best practices for unit testing , code quality , and application security .
Use tools such as JUnit , Maven , Git , and static code analysis tools to ensure maintainable code.
Participate in CI/CD workflows using tools like Jenkins , Datadog , and Splunk .
Operate in Linux environments , contributing to application stability, deployment, and observability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to ensure seamless delivery.
Reside in LATAM and have availability for remote collaboration.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of hands-on backend development with Java.
English proficiency (C1 level) or higher for effective communication.
Strong Java fundamentals: Collections, Lambdas, Functional Programming, error handling .
Proven experience with Spring Boot , Spring MVC , and API architecture.
Deep knowledge of design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory) and object-oriented design .
Experience with JSON, XML , and SOAP using Java-native tools (e.g., JAXP, DOM).
Advanced skills in Oracle PL/SQL , stored procedures, and query optimization.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Git , Maven , and centralized logging tools.
Exposure to static code analysis and secure coding practices.
Comfort working in Unix/Linux environments .
Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to Have :
Experience or familiarity with React or modern frontend frameworks.
Exposure to the engineering or manufacturing industry .
