Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Shop Helper to support fabrication and production operations during the evening shift. This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive position and requires working around overhead cranes, forklifts, power equipment, and other hazardous processes .
The Shop Helper will assist craftsmen with assigned tasks while maintaining productivity, quality standards, and strict adherence to safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Work safely in a Safety Sensitive position around overhead cranes, forklifts, trucks, and power equipment
• Assist craftsmen with assigned craft tasks
• Maintain productivity levels in accordance with established work instructions
• Ensure workmanship meets company quality standards
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Sustain 5S requirements
• Demonstrate a professional, team-oriented attitude
• Provide input to help complete projects efficiently and on time while upholding safety and quality standards
Required Qualifications
• Basic fabrication shop experience
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and power tools
• Ability to read and write basic shop communications
• Ability to use a shop tape measure
• Willingness to learn shop drawings and bill of materials
• Strong ability and willingness to learn new skills
