Great Basin Staffing LLC is hiring Skilled Fabricators for an advanced mechanical contractor in San Antonio, TX . This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in one of the most technologically advanced sheet metal and process piping shops in South Texas, supporting both in-shop fabrication and field installation for commercial HVAC and ventilation systems.
Fabricate and assemble components for HVAC ductwork and process piping systems
Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, saws, rollers, CNC machines, welders, and plasma tables
Read and interpret shop drawings, isometric layouts, and mechanical blueprints
Cut, bend, weld, and finish various metals to project specifications
Lead or assist in field installation when required
Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and shop/field teams to meet production goals
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
3+ years of experience in sheet metal, piping, or HVAC fabrication
Ability to read blueprints and perform layout work
Proficient in operating shop equipment and power tools
Experience working with materials such as stainless steel, black iron, galvanized, and aluminum
Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality control
Willingness to take initiative, collaborate, and lead when needed
Foreman or crew lead experience
MIG and TIG welding experience or certification
CNC operation or programming background
Familiarity with double-wall duct fabrication and high-efficiency shop systems
Pay Range: $22.00 – $40.00 per hour (DOE)
