Job Description

Georgia-Pacific is looking for safety-oriented individuals to join our team as Production Associates in Albion, MI !

Salary
  • $22.75 per hour
  • 2 nd shift differential is $1.50 per hour / 3 rd shift differential is $1.25 per hour
  • You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.

Shift
  • Only candidates who are flexible to be assigned to work any shift will be considered
  • Candidates must be flexible and available to work first, second, or third shift as needed. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends.
  • Currently hiring for 2 nd and 3 rd shift.
  • Orientation will be on 1 st shift (7am-3pm), and you will be assigned your permanent 2 nd or 3 rd shift after your orientation.
  • Albion operates on a point based attendance program.

Shift Hours:
  • 1 st shift: Monday - Friday 7am-3pm; weekends and overtime as needed
  • 2 nd shift: Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm; weekends and overtime as needed
  • 3 rd shift: Monday - Friday 11pm-7am; weekends and overtime as needed

Production Associates play an integral part in maintaining the success of the plant by providing coverage and support for various machine centers throughout the plant. What You Will Do In Your Role
  • Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
  • Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems
  • Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
  • Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventative maintenance and cleaning work area
  • Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
  • Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
  • Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment OR completion of post high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
  • Previous experience working in a corrugated box plant

For this role, we anticipate paying $22.75 per hour. This role is eligible for an additional $1.50 per hour while working on 2nd shift and $1.25 per hour for 3rd shift.
