Position Overview and Responsibilities:
The State Chief Data Officer (CDO) serves as Florida’s enterprise data strategist responsible for driving data interoperability, enabling cross-agency data alignment, and advancing the state’s data modernization efforts. Reporting to the State Chief Information Officer (CIO), the CDO leads the development and coordination of data standards, interoperability frameworks, and initiatives that promote secure, responsible, and value-driven use of data across the State’s 35 agencies. The CDO guides the use of data as a strategic asset and supports statewide priorities through shared data initiatives and policy alignment.
