Job Description

Duration: Summer 2025, with potential to extend into the fall
Time Commitment: Average 15–20 hours per week; some weeks may vary based on project intensity
Compensation: $30/hour (negotiable based on experience)

Fierce Outcomes advises educational institutions, employers, and state leaders in education and workforce. Founded by a former Partner at BCG and McKinsey, who led advanced analytics in the education sector at both firms, the organization brings deep strategy and analytics expertise to help institutions align with workforce outcomes.

Fierce has two twin goals:

• Improve student outcomes by building education-employer partnerships that close talent supply-demand gaps

• Transform the perceived value of education through better graduate outcomes, driving increased enrollment and improved financial sustainability for institutions

We work across the education spectrum—early childhood, K-12, and higher education—partnering with schools, colleges, employers, and public agencies.

This internship is designed for an analytics-forward candidate looking to lead key pieces of data work across client engagements. The ideal intern will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a mix of data engineering and insight generation tasks.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of analytics workstreams for client projects

• Creating dynamic visual dashboards and presenting findings

• Cleaning, joining, and structuring datasets from multiple sources

• Contributing to machine learning or predictive modeling as needed

• Supporting light web scraping or data pipeline setup

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Strong skills in Python, R, or another analytical language

• Experience with Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar tools

• Comfort working in unstructured environments and building from scratch

• Knowledge of machine learning or statistics is a plus

• Strong interest in social impact and education sectors
