• - Master’s level degree in an engineering discipline with 10 years of professional experience in systems engineering or
• - Bachelor’s level degree in an engineering discipline with 12 years of professional experience in systems engineering
• Desired Professional Experience: Engineering experience supporting U.S. Navy in Combat Systems such as Sensor Distribution Systems (SDS), Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), AEGIS, ZUMWALT, Integrated Combat System (ICS), and any future Combat Systems.

Responsibilities:

• As part of our team, I manage and execute engineering activities that include:
• Developing technical approaches and plans that support the customer’s desired capabilities.
• Determining the scope of work tasks required to complete technical efforts and estimating the time to accomplish these tasks.
• Establishing feasible schedules based on resource availability.
• Developing advanced engineering concepts and guiding their development to a final product.
• Designing advanced solutions to highly complex engineering problems.
• Creating and implementing an approach for capturing, analyzing, and tracing artifacts that provide the requirements of the system's performance, function, and allocated baseline.
• Maintaining traceability from engineering products back to user-defined capabilities.
• Providing systems and technical engineering services by implementing disciplined System Engineering processes.
• Supporting software engineering development and services.
• Working with the operational requirements/user community to ensure the concept of operations (CONOPS) is detailed sufficiently for system performance and operational capability verification.
• Developing design reference missions, use cases, and relevant modeling diagrams.
• Estimating time and establishing schedules and resources for work tasks.

Travel for this position is anticipated to be less than 10%, and the work location is primarily onsite in Virginia Beach/Chesapeake, VA.
