New Gig Solutions has partnered with a well-established, growth-oriented CPA firm in Ft. Myers, FL , to help them find their next Senior Tax Preparer / Accountant . This is a full-time, 100% on-site opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys hands-on work, client interaction, and being part of a supportive, team-based environment.
About the Role:
As a Senior Tax Preparer/Accountant, you'll take on a critical role preparing a variety of tax returns, overseeing payroll tax compliance, and helping clients with planning and projections. You’ll work extensively in QuickBooks, manage financial reporting, and communicate directly with clients to resolve questions and provide ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and payroll tax returns
Handle tax planning and projections for clients
Perform payroll tax compliance for business clients
Manage bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks (desktop & online)
Prepare financial statements and reports
Communicate with clients on a daily basis
Identify inefficiencies in client procedures and help implement improvements
Qualifications:
5+ years of recent public accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of tax preparation and financial reporting
Proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop and online)
Experience with ProSystem FX and Axcess/Document (preferred)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Client-focused mindset and the ability to work independently
