Tool Fabrication Specialist - Making Precision a Standard

Be a catalyst in maintaining the excellence sought by our manufacturing teams at our Greencastle, IN hub. This vital role entails the careful handling, fine-tuning, and evolution of our die and tooling components—ensuring the seamless operation of our metal stamping processes while prioritizing safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive inspections and repairs on die equipment.
• Strategically troubleshoot and remedy issues to reduce downtime effectively.
• Carry out planned maintenance to uphold tool reliability.
• Adapt dies and tools to align with engineering shifts or to enhance functions.
• Utilize advanced measuring tools to verify precision.
• Manage operations of tooling machines such as grinders and EDM.
• Maintain precise records of all actions executed.
• Work jointly with teams to resolve tooling discrepancies.
• Uphold safety measures while ensuring a tidy work area.

Qualifications:

• Completion of secondary education with preferred technical qualifications.
• Three years or more in tool maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
• Comprehension of die construction and their ongoing needs.
• Competence in reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Machinery operation proficiency, especially in a fast-paced environment.
• Aptitude for physically demanding tasks inherent in manufacturing.
• A meticulous problem-solver with keen observational abilities.
• Eagerness to work flexible hours as needed.
