Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical ICU
Location: Neptune, NJ 07754
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12s | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed | No on-call
Hours per Week: 36
Travel Rate: $2,380/week
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical ICU for an exciting job in Neptune, NJ .
ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive patient assessments and assist physicians with complex ICU case management.
Develop and implement individualized plans of care in accordance with clinical standards and patient needs.
Administer medications, perform therapeutic interventions, and evaluate patient responses.
Manage ventilators, central lines, cardiac telemetry, and other critical care monitoring systems.
Perform arterial line and Swan-Ganz monitoring, ABG sampling, and CRRT (Next Stage preferred).
Document all patient care activities accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Minimum 2–3 years of recent MICU/ICU experience in an acute care or trauma hospital ( Level 1 or 2 preferred ).
Strong proficiency in:
Mechanical ventilation and vasopressor management
Central line management and IV access
Sedation, paralytics, and spontaneous breathing trials
Arterial lines, Swan-Ganz monitoring, and phlebotomy
Chest tube and catheter care
CRRT (Next Stage system preferred)
Preferred: Experience with balloon pump and Impella devices.
Highly Recommended: CCRN certification.
Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN)
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Active New Jersey RN License or Compact State License
Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Telemetry Certification
4-Hour CEU in Stroke Education
