Job Overview Gibian LLC is seeking a driven and experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to join our team and lead the successful execution of commercial construction projects across PA, NJ, NY, and MD. This role is ideal for a skilled leader who thrives on autonomy, is passionate about managing interior fit-outs, and is committed to excellence in the field. Visit us at to learn more. Key Responsibilities - Oversee all jobsite operations including subcontractor coordination, deliveries, inspections, and safety compliance
- Supervise interior fit-out projects and coordinate trades to meet project milestones and deadlines
- Travel to project locations (PA, NJ, NY, MD) with overnight stays as needed (typically Monday-Thursday)
- Interpret and implement construction drawings and blueprints with accuracy
- Conduct regular on-site inspections to monitor quality, safety, and adherence to schedules
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
- Work flexible hours including second/third shifts or weekends as project needs dictate
- Use computer software for scheduling, reporting, and communication
Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in commercial construction as a superintendent in any of the 5 boroughs of NYC
- Must be comfortable staying at a hotel Monday-Thursday and driving to jobs during the week (1-4 hours driving distance)
- Experience in commercial interior fit-outs; ground-up experience is a plus
- OSHA 30 certification required
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using job site software
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently
